Mr. Billy Joe Morgan, 71, of Gaylesville, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Billy Joe served his country four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a Morse Code and Crypto Operator. Billy Joe retired from Square D Electric, Atlanta, Georgia. in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Raymond and Mamie Morgan; and a sister, Willie Mae Crawford. Mr. Morgan is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty nine years, Helen Morgan; two daughters and son in-laws, Jeanne and Bobby Lowther of Dallas; and Julie and Vincent Bowen of Hiram; four grandchildren, David Yasson of Dallas, and Ashley, Alexandra and Nicholas Bowen of Hiram; one sister, Flora Cotton Patton; brother in-law, Hillard Crawford of Dalton; sister in-law, Faye Pugh of Temple; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica with Rev. Harold Jones and Brother Jan Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
