Billy Leonard Eastwood

Mr. Billy Leonard Eastwood, 74, of Granny Branch Road, Blue Ridge, Georgia, formerly of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at North Georgia Medical Center in Ellijay, GA. He was born August 14, 1930, in Osgood, MO. He was the son of the late Leonard Eastwood and the late Freeda Eastwood Russell. He married Mazelle Benton in August of 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma. He retired as a Journeyman in the Construction Business, and was a member of Carpenters Local Union #225. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mazelle Benton Eastwood; three daughters and son-in-law, Ken and Teresa Spicer of Douglasville, Marla Eastwood of Atlanta and Cynthia Eastwood of Oakland, CA.; two brothers, Ricky Eastwood of Missouri, and Rodney Eastwood, of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Christy, Shanna, Kasey, Jessica, Cody; one great grandchild, Morgan; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Douglasville Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Greg Hogan officiating. Mrs. Martha Hogan will render music. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2005 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Douglasville Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home.
