Billy Randall Tidwell

Billy Randall Tidwell, 63, of Villa Rica, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He was born on December 30, 1960, the son of the late Buford Burnett Tidwell and the late Jennie B. McElroy Tidwell.

Billy was a simple man who reveled in the beauty of life and he cherished the small joys that each day held. He was known for his kind heart and his capacity to love unconditionally. Whether it was sitting by the fire, surrounded by family and friends, or traveling to the mountains with his wife, every experience was a treasured memory for him.

He loved his family, especially the bond he shared with his grandchildren, Makenna and Elijah. They were the light of his life, and Billy took great joy in watching them grow up. His playful spirit and gentle nature touched the hearts of everyone around him. Just six months ago, Billy devoted his life to Christ and obeyed the gospel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Diane Culberson Tidwell; brothers, Timmy Edward Tidwell, Horace Wayne Tidwell, Thomas Ray Tidwell, and Jimmy Lee Tidwell.

He is survived by his children, Jason Tidwell of Villa Rica, Marie and Josh Karr of Temple; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Irene Tidwell of Temple, Joe and Debbie Tidwell of Newnan, Steve and Peggy Tidwell of Temple, David and Darlene Tidwell of Villa Rica, and Allen and Joan Tidwell of Villa Rica

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel with Bro. Russ Gilley and Bro. Aaron Studdard officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery.

Billy’s presence reminded us of the importance of family, love, and simplicity. He taught us to appreciate the everyday moments, and to cherish each laugh and smile shared.
