Billy Whitaker

Mr. William “Billy” Clifford Whitaker, III, 64, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born November 13, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia. He married Melinda Eskew on March 29, 1980 in Douglasville. He worked as a Maintenance Engineer at Collier’s International in Atlanta. He was an avid fan of country music and he enjoyed watching Atlanta sports teams. He enjoyed fishing and he had a natural gift for fixing and repairing anything. He was preceded in death by his father, William Clifford Whitaker, II. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Melinda Eskew Whitaker of Douglasville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Caleb Whitaker of Douglasville; and Tyler and Kristin Whitaker of Acworth; his mother, Lois Thayer Rountree; sister, Vicki Whitaker Kashani of Senoia; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Anita Rountree of Powder Springs; three grandchildren, Kyla Whitaker, Logan Whitaker, and Mason Whitaker; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, December 15, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday December 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
