Blake Lee Morris, age 17, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009. He was born August 27, 1992 in Lithia Springs, Georgia the son of Trenton Griffin and Delanea Morris. He was a member of Promiseland Baptist Church in Villa Rica. He was a junior attending Chapel Hill High School in Douglasville. He was actively involved in wrestling and football. He was awarded his Varsity Letter in wrestling. His favorite pastimes included hunting, music and playing the Xbox. He had a big heart and was a loving young man who enjoyed life. He is survived by his guardian and maternal grandmother, Carol Ridge of Douglasville; mother, Delanea Morris of Powder Springs; father, Trenton Griffin of Douglasville; his sister, Haley Henricksen of Douglasville; brothers, Kaleb Ethridge of Dallas and Ron Ethridge of Douglasville; paternal grandparents, Barbara Henricksen of Douglasville and Buzz Henricksen of Douglasville; maternal grandfather, Robert Ridge of Douglasville; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Hendon of Piedmont, AL; uncles, James McCalvin and Jason McCalvin; aunts, Stacy McCalvin and Lisa McCalvin; cousins, Dwayne McCalvin, Jace McCalvin, and Kaylee McCalvin; several other aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Clifton Brock officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park in Hiram. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.
