Bobbie Jean Shaw, age 90, of Lithia Springs, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born March 8, 1934 in Powder Springs to the late Mr. Virgil Puckett and the late Mrs. Ollie Ponder Puckett.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John “Johnny” Olin Shaw; children, Richard “Ricky” Olin Shaw and John “Randy” Randall Shaw; brothers, Lamar Puckett, Glen Puckett and Edwin Puckett; sisters, Addie Lee Cauthen, Florene Wigley, Frances Scroggins and Carolyn McMichen.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Dustin Shaw and Kiel Shaw; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A cherished member of her community, Bobbie was not only a devoted family member but also a friend. Her skills in the kitchen were legendary; she was a great cook and an excellent baker. Bobbie's culinary talents were matched only by her kindness, as she consistently extended her hand to help those around her. Her generosity knew no bounds; she was a great neighbor and a comforting presence to her friends and family. Throughout her life, she embodied the spirit of generosity and care.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will take place at Sunrise Gardens of Memories in Douglasville.
