Mr. Bobby Jones Dry, 90, of Mableton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born September 26, 1931 in Salisbury, North Carolina, the son of the late Mr. James Asa Dry and Mrs. Nancy Lilli Horah. Mr. Dry was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean War. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for over 40 years as a machinist. Mr. Dry loved his family and spending time with them. Mr. Dry enjoyed gardening and sharing his fruits and vegetables with his friends and family. Mr. Dry was a member of American Legions of Mableton, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dry is preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie V. Dry; his son, Barry L. Dry. He had seven brothers and sisters who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Lamont Dry and his daughter Joan and son-in -law Mark King; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Krisie, Shanda, Jessica, Brittany, Jenna, and Sam and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren
The family will receive friends, Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Chapel in Douglasville. Funeral services will follow and will be officiated by Pastor Gene Evans at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place with military honors at Sunrise Memorial Garden, Douglasville, Georgia.
