Bobby Eugene Swann, Sr.

Bobby “Bob” Eugene Swann, Sr., 94, of Villa Rica, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1930, the son of the late Millard Couch and the late Hera Swann Carroll.

Bob lived a life filled with laughter, kindness, and a love for the outdoors and animals. He was known for his great sense of humor and had a unique way of brightening any room he entered. He was famous for his jokes and his ability to give everyone around him a nickname, which reflected his warm spirit. His kindness was evident in every interaction, as he had a remarkable talent for making people feel valued and appreciated. Bob never met a stranger; rather, he welcomed everyone with open arms and a friendly smile. He loved nature and he enjoyed spending time outdoors. Whether it was walking outside or simply adoring the beauty that surrounded him, he found true joy in being outdoors. He had a love for animals, especially Beagles and goats.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lou Bragg Swann; brother, Billy Swann; sister, Charlotte Carroll McRae; grandson, Shaun Austin Collins; and son-in-law, R.L. Ward.

He is survived by his children, Lillian Ward of Villa Rica, Robbie Sheffield of Bremen, Bobby Swann, Jr. of Bremen and Rodney (Elena) Swann of Temple; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Robert Willoughby of Villa Rica; fourteen grandchildren, Brittany (Austin), Cody (Brooke), Tyler, Layla, Brayden, Miranda (Dillon), Daniel (Kourtney), Emily (Paul), A.J., Dillon, Lauren, Traci (Scott), Travis (Shannon), Kevin (Kristy); twenty-one great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Villa Rica Chapel at Jones-Wynn with Chaplin Luke Pollock officiating Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Cody Collins, Tyler Collins, Austin Dampier, Travis Ward, Kevin Ward, Scott Nalley and Dillon Swann.
