Brenda June Adams, 77, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026. She was born on June 22, 1948, the daughter of the late George Henry Duffey and the late Berline Carter Duffey.

Brenda’s extraordinary life was marked by her remarkable achievements, unwavering dedication, and the enduring love she shared with those around her.

Brenda made history as the first female inside sales, outside sales professional, and branch manager in her company, breaking barriers and paving the way for countless women who followed in her footsteps. Affectionately known as "Granny-Grits," she carried a spirit of determination and resilience that was evident both in her career and personal life.

An outgoing and vivacious people person, Brenda was deeply motivated and a tireless hard worker. Her colleagues and acquaintances held her in the highest regard, respecting her not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her genuine kindness and spirited attitude.

Brenda was an avid reader who found pleasure and inspiration between the pages of many books throughout her life. She also cherished her time spent shopping, a pastime she enjoyed as both a hobby and a way to connect with friends and family. Her creative talents extended into the world of ceramics, where she expressed her artistic side through beautiful handcrafted works.

Her greatest joy, however, came from the love and companionship she shared with her grandchildren and her faithful dogs. These relationships were at the heart of Brenda's life and brought her immense happiness and fulfillment.

Brenda June Adams leaves behind a legacy of courage, creativity, and compassion. She will be remembered not only for her pioneering achievements but for the warmth and zest for life she imparted to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Olphus Hinton Adams, Jr. on January 19, 2021; and by her sisters, Joan Byrd, and Judith Duffey.
