Brenda Ann Higgins McDuffie

Mrs. Brenda Ann Higgins McDuffie, age 55, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born December 4, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Mrs. Linda Ann Higgins Turner and the late Mr. James Higgins. She was a member of Lithia Springs First Baptist Church where she was actively involved in adult Sunday School Class. She loved her church family. She worked for ICC Candy Concepts in Atlanta as an executive administrator for over 11 years. She enjoyed fishing and playing with grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Howard Ray McDuffie of Douglasville; daughters, Ashley N. Pryor of Douglasville and Harley Danielle McDuffie of Douglasville; stepdaughters, Sandy Renee Burger of High Falls, Tammy Ray McDuffie of Cape Canaveral, FL; stepson, Harold Anthony McDuffie of Powder Springs; her mother and the father that raised her, Linda Ann and Leon Turner of Bremen; sisters, Rosa Rapp of Fairburn and Linda Ann Diaragnacourt of Melbourne, FL; brothers, James Higgins of Paulding County and Marty Turner of Bremen; 14 grandchildren; nieces, Brandy and Sonya; nephews, Justin, Logan, Austin, and Nikki; great-nephews, Alex and Garrett; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM from the Lithia Springs First Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin McCoy officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
