Brenda Sue Bostwick, age 77, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. She was born on August 12, 1946, the daughter of the late Buford Arthur Boggs and the late Inez Cosby Ayers Boggs.
What truly set Brenda apart was her unwavering love for her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Brenda was a long time member of the Sunshine Class of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. She found joy in the simple things, like traveling to new places, exploring yard sales and estate sales, and taking leisurely rides on country backroads. Her love for flowers and wreaths was evident to all who knew her, and her seasonal decorations brightened the lives of those around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny Ivan Bostwick and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Liz” Boggs; brother Billie Boggs.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Tommy Leo of Villa Rica, Julie and Andy Burke of Carrollton, and Kara and Wynn Carden of Newnan; son and daughter-in-law, Ivan and Michelle Bostwick of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Mary Boggs of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Taylor Burke, Scott and Magen Bostwick, Alex and Abby Burke, Ty Leo, Katie Burke, Kylie Leo, Peyton Bostwick, Kristen Bostwick, Hayden Morgan, Finn Carden, and Sutter Carden; great-grandchildren, Oliver Bostwick, Harleigh Burke, and Kinley Bostwick; honorary grandchildren, Brandon Leo, Austin Leo, Macie Taylor, Brittney Simpkins, Emilee Pearson, and Alexis Jefferson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jeff Powell on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. She will lie in state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Midway Macedonia Cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Taylor Burke, Alex Burke, Ty Leo, Brandon Leo, Austin Leo and Elliott Bostwick. Brenda’s brother, Larry Boggs will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Flowers are accepted; however, donations can also be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
