Brenda Lee Voyles

Brenda Lee Voyles, 64, a beloved wife, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 8, 2024. She was born September 19, 1959, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to the late Mr. Thomas Frederick Lockhart and the late Mrs. Ruth Marie Hartwell Lockhart.

Brenda touched the lives of many through her determination, motivation, and loving nature. She was a true boss lady in every sense of the word. Family was at the center of Brenda's life and she cherished every moment spent with them. She fostered an environment of love and togetherness that made everyone feel valued. 

One of Brenda's favorite hobbies was baking. Whether it was 2 PM or 2 AM, she had an undeniable passion for creating delicious treats. Another favorite pastime of Brenda's was going to the dollar store; each trip was an adventure. In addition to baking and shopping at the dollar store, Brenda had a green thumb and loved to spend time tending to her garden and yard’s. Among the vibrant blooms that graced her backyard, elephant ears and roses – especially yellow roses - held a special place in her heart. The beauty she nurtured in her garden reflected the beauty she brought into the world through her kind spirit and loving embrace.

Brenda will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Voyles; sister-in-law, Charlotte “Mickey” Foster; daughter, Lisa (Lamar) Sprayberry; sons Tony Buller, Jeremy Buller, Billy Smith, and Tommy Smith; grandchildren, Joseph Buller, Matthew Smith, Ethan Smith, Michelle Sprayberry, Haylee Smith, Kathryn Smith, Madelyn Smith, Journey Smith, and Holden Morris; nephew, Matt Dukes and great-niece Candy Dukes.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home – Douglasville Chapel with Dr. Jim Grieme officiating.
