Brent Alan Gardner

Mr. Brent Alan Gardner, age 26, of Waco, Georgia passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1983 in Lithia Springs, Georgia, the son of Mr. Patrick Alan Gardner and Mrs. Regina Kay Rutherford Gardner. Mr. Gardner worked as a carpenter in the construction industry. Brent’s hobbies were car repair and restoration, woodworking and carpentry, entertaining his family with his keen sense of humor, poker and gun collecting. Brent provided security for his family and community and spread a contagious love to everyone he knew. The night before he left us, Brent picked out plans for his log home he was about to build. We’re sure his Papa met him in Heaven with a sawmill. Brent will always be loved and cherished by his friends and family. Gone too soon. Survivors include his mother, Regina Kay Rutherford Gardner and his father, Patrick Alan Gardner of Waco; his brothers and sister, Daniel K. and Esha Gardner, Amanda Joy Gardner Helton and Bo Helton and Paul Patrick Gardner, all of Waco; his nephews, Aiden Gardner, Branson Gardner and Connor Helton; maternal grandmother, Lorraine Rutherford Horton; paternal grandmother, Joanne Gardner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 3:00PM at Rock Fellowship Church in Waco, Georgia with Pastors Dusty Rutherford and Robert Rutherford officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Gardner, Paul Gardner, Bo Helton, Alan Taylor, Adam Shelton, Brad Weatherspoon, Chad Weatherspoon and Dusty Rutherford. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremen, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Rock Fellowship Church in Waco, Georgia on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 1:00PM until the funeral hour.
