Brent Edward Jacobs

Mr. Brent Edward Jacobs, age 21, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, October 24, 2008. Mr. Jacobs was born August 4, 1987 in Lithia Springs, Georgia. He was a 2005 graduate of Chapel Hill High School in Douglasville, Georgia. Mr. Jacobs was honorably discharged from the United States Army in November 2007, where he was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas and served as a member of the 24th Transportation Company, which had been deployed to Mosul, Iraq. Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James P. and Barbara Ann Metcalf and William C. Jacobs. Survivors include his father and step-mother, William Edward and Melissa Jacobs of Douglasville; mother and step-father, Charlotte and Kary Lee of Pocomoke City, Maryland; three step-siblings; his maternal grandparents, William and Billie K. Foreman of Lithia Springs; and paternal step-grandmother, Evelyn Jacobs of Villa Rica also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Tommy Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia with military honors. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
