Brian Keith Woody

Brian Keith Woody, age 52, of Winston, Georgia, formerly of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born on October 15, 1970 in Villa Rica, Georgia to Gene and Jane Woody.

He was a licensed lead mechanic at Southeastern Freight Lines for 18 years, where he served faithfully and was always there to help any of his coworkers with anything, while having a smile on his face. Outside of work, he loved to travel to the beach and mountains and was known to be on his Harley Davidson headed to many of those destinations with the love of his life on the back. He also loved his time in the woods hunting and just enjoying the outdoors. If you ever needed any task done whether it be ordinary, or even some crazy things he’s been asked to do, he was always willing and ready to help. If you were his friend, you were a friend for life. Family knew him by Keith or Baby Didn’t, friends and his work family knew him by “Woody”. His unwavering loyalty and love to those in his life, as great as it was, was no comparison for his love for his Lord and Savior. He shared the love of Christ every chance he was given to his nurses, doctors, caregivers, friends, and family during the toughest time of his life. Even during these last few days he was here on earth in the sickness and pain, he made sure he could get a smile or laugh out of you. He lived by Proverbs 17:22 that says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine… Laughter is a gift from God”. Those who were blessed to know him will always have a funny story to share and, most importantly, know his love for Christ Jesus.

Woody is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Woody; brother in law, Kevin Roddy;

He is survived by his loving wife, Chasedie Woody, momma and daddy, Gene and Jane Woody; son, Chase Woody; brothers and sisters in law, Ronald and Nikki Woody, Tony and Allison Woody; sister, Sharon Roddy; nieces and nephews, Beth, Kimberly, Cody, Wyatt, Kayla, Gracie, Jennifer, and Jacob.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Utopia Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Utopia Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia. Rev. Jeff Childers will be officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Rev. Ken Johns officiating.
