Brittany Sparks

Miss Brittany Elizabeth Sparks, age 22, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011. She was born August 25, 1988 in Riverdale, Georgia, the daughter of Mr. Danny Dewade Sparks and Mrs. Debbie McDougle Swanson. She was a Christian by faith. She was a 2007 graduate of Chapel Hill High School. She loved sports and enjoyed playing basketball and softball. She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics. She was current student at West Georgia Technical College in Douglasville. Her parents were very proud of her and her accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Athens McDougle and paternal grandmother, Vernie Mae Wade Sparks. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Debbie McDougle Swanson and Ken Swanson of Jackson, GA; father and stepmother, Danny Dewade and Sandy Sparks of Douglasville, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Brandon and Lisa Sparks of Louisville, KY and Ryan Siegwarth of Douglasville, GA; maternal grandmother, Eva McDougle of Phil Campbell, AL; paternal grandparents, Norris and Helen Sparks of Russellville, AL; two nephews, Landen Sparks and Luke Siegwarth; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, July 9. 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The family will receive friends at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama Monday, July 11, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, AL. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell, AL.
