Buford Harold Culberson

Buford Harold Culberson, born on May 24, 1942, in Floyd County, Georgia, passed away on February 13, 2025. Buford lived a life marked by hard work and dedication, having served as a forklift operator at Bristol-Myers-Squibb for over twenty years. Additionally, he spent ten years working in HVAC with Seasons 4 in Douglasville, showing a commitment to his profession and providing for his family.

Buford was not only known for his industrious spirit but also for his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, often cherishing moments spent in nature. One of his favorite pastimes was playing horseshoes, a hobby that allowed him to gather with friends and family in a spirit of fun and competition.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon Richardson and her husband David of Bowdon, Belinda Brown and Michael Strickland of Woodland, Alabama, Rhonda and Lewis McCrary of Villa Rica; son, Roger Culberson and wife Lanie of Buchanan; daughter-in-law Tracie C. Powers of Carrollton; son-in-law Douglas Goforth of Carrollton. His legacy continues with twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. His sisters, Margie Richards, Barbara Richards, and Eula Black, also survive him.

Buford was preceded in death by his wife Annette Culberson, father, Clifford Harold Culberson, his mother, Carrie Moyle Culberson, his son, Randy Culberson, his daughter, Beverly Elaine Culberson Goforth, and his brother, Aubry Culberson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00PM in the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. David Richardson officiating. The interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. 

Buford will be fondly remembered for his unwavering work ethic and deep love for his family. His spirit will undoubtedly continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
