Buford O'neal Smith

Mr. Buford O’neal Smith, age 77, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Heartland Hospice in Austell. He was born January 15, 1931 in Fulton County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Eulas P. Smith and the late Mrs. Cora A. Lovins Smith. He was of the Protestant Faith. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Marta Bus Driver for the City of Atlanta for over 18 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Webb Smith. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Becky Smith and Mike Smith all of Douglasville; grandchildren, Jimmy Smith and Amy Evans; great-grandchildren, Colin Evans, Brady Evans and Caleb Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, January 16, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
