Caffey Lumpkin

Mrs. Caffey Jeanette Owens Lumpkin, 82 of Biggers Road, Buchanan, GA passed away, Monday, April 14, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 26, 1931 in Anniston, AL the daughter of the late Charles Owens and the late Mrs. Bama Kilgore Owens. She was retired from Moore Insurance Company where she was a supervisor. She was a member of Christway Baptist Church in Carrollton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Clarence “J.C.” Lumpkin; brother, Buddy Owens and sister, Bobbie Owens. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Marlon and Linda Lumpkin of Buchanan, step-son Larry Lumpkin, caretakers, Lois Holdbrooks and Brenda Harper, grandchildren, Steve Brock, Tina Ross, Tim Lumpkin, Dan Lumpkin, Chad and Regina Daniel and Tommy Wilborn, great grandchildren, Chris Lumpkin, Melissa Lumpkin, Dawn Ross, Heather Ross, Nathan Wilborn and Nolan Daniel. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Hurston and Rev. Homer Wilburn. Interment will follow in the Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram with Timmy Roberts and Marlon Lumpkin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dan Lumpkin, Tim Lumpkin, Chris Lumpkin, Johnny Truett, Tommy Wilborn and Jim Feathers. Joe Polk and Tim Roberts will serve as honorary escort.
