Candis King-Owens

Mrs. Candis Leree King-Owens, age 68, of Eatonton, passed away, Sunday, November 19, 2017. She was born December 14, 1948 in Decatur, the daughter of the late Mr. Wallace Leree Moore and the late Mrs. Virginia Ruth VerMerris Moore. Mrs. Owens enjoyed all activities of living on the lake, going on trips to the beach and was an avid animal lover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gordon Owens and her niece, Kerry McVey.She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Wendi Loggins of Rockmart; Kathy and DJ Turner of Peachtree City; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen “Bunny” and Mickey McVey of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Mitch Loggins, Reagan Turner, and Reese Turner; nephews, Tommy McVey, Chris McVey and Danny McVey also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
