Carl Allen Creed

Mr. Carl Allen Creed, age 64, of Douglasville, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born in Anniston, AL to the late Mr. Forest Carl Free and the late Mrs. Janice Joan Rosselot Creed. Carl's love for sports was evident to all who knew him. In particular, he found immense joy in coaching and umpiring baseball, basketball, and football. Through his involvement in youth sports, Carl imparted not only athletic skills but also valuable life lessons to young athletes under his guidance. One of Carl's great passions resided within the realm of baseball. Carl was a loyal supporter of the Atlanta Braves, and of Georgia Tech and Alabama college football. In his later years, he used his online presence to minister many people. Carl's impact extended beyond the confines of sports fields or stadiums; he deeply cherished spending quality time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rhonda Northcutt Creed; daughter, Sarah Creed and Fiancé Jamie Jennings of Palmetto, FL,; stepdaughter, Melanie (Maria) Reynard of Douglasville; stepsons, Robert (Amy) Spears of Newberry, FL and Benjamin Spears of Lake City, FL; sisters, Ramona (Shannon) Peterson, Elizabethtown, KY and Evelyn Harper of Elizabethtown, KY; granddaughter, Meghan Spears; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Phil Underwood officiating.
