Mr. Carlos Eugene Wooten, age 83, of Lithia Springs, passed away, Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was born August 4, 1933 in Douglas the son of the late Mr. Knivelton Branson Wooten and the late Mrs. Josie Carver Wooten. Mr. Wooten enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked as a machine operator supervisor for the City of Atlanta, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was a member of the adult Sunday School Class. He was saved on March 11, 1973. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Wooten and Jimmy Wooten; sister, Beluah Mae Wooten; step mother, Lucille Wooten. He is survived by his wife of 49 years and 9 months, Mary Smallwood Wooten of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Gail and Ken Nichols of Dallas; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Mary Alice Wooten of Eustis, FL, Carlos Lee and Lindsay Wooten of Powder Springs, Michael and Christy Allen of Canton; eight sisters and brothers-in-law, Pricilla and M.L. Harrison of Adel, June and Clifford Davis of Adel, Gertie and Olan Harrison of Broxton, Betty Harrison of Eustis, Mamie Lamb of Adel, Alice Edenfield of FL, Mary and Punkin Knight of Broxton, Winnie and Jimbo Hutto of Broxton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, K. B. and Sarah Wooten of Locust Grove, Jerry and Jane Wooten of Broxton, Quitman and Debbie Wooten of Broxton, Richard and Brenda Wooten of Broxton; nine grandchildren, Dalton Nichols of Dallas, Nathan Wooten of FL, Sean Wooten of FL, Mason Wooten of FL, Melissa Russell of Powder Springs, Hannah Allen of Canton, Kinsey Allen of Canton, Crystal Touchet of Douglasville, and Rachel Robider of Hiawassee; eight great-grandchildren, Courtney Wooten of FL, Cailtyn Wooten of FL, Nathan Wooten of FL, Ben Wooten of FL, Jonah Wooten of FL, Daphne Wooten of FL, Darcy Russell of Powder Springs, Autumn Russell of Powder Springs; Several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, February 10, 2017 from 12:30 PM until 3:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday, February 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating.
