Carol Marie Brook

Carol Marie Brook, age 63, of Douglasville, Georgia formerly of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born October 2, 1945 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Mr. Nial Tuvell and the late Mrs. Lucille Stanley Tuvell. In 1967 she moved to Georgia. Mrs. Brook worked as a computer technician for the State of Georgia where she retired following 30 years of dedicated service. She was of the Nazarene faith. Mrs. Brook was dedicated to her family and was friend and advisor to many. She was a loving mother and sister and dedicated her life to raising her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kelly Brook and her sister, Roberta Nott. She is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Virginia and Donnie Cape of Norcross, Jan and Brodie Sylvester of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law Nial and Sue Tuvell of Dunwoody; brother-in-law, Emmett Nott; grandchildren, Samantha Brook, Christopher Alexander Roth, Alyssa Lynch; great-granddaughter, Addison Brook; special friends, Joyce Bartley, Nancy Brown, Sherri Daugherty; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Celebrant Glenn Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
