Carol Rochelle Padgett, 90, from Douglasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026. She was born on June 9, 1936.
Ms. Rochelle will be remembered as a true kid at heart, and for her spirit whose warmth brought comfort to those around her. She had a joyful way of moving through life, and her presence made ordinary days brighter. Whether through her lively personality or her caring nature, she had a gift for making people feel at ease and loved.
She found happiness in the things that reflected her unique spirit. Rochelle enjoyed shopping at the Goodwill, where the fun of discovering something special always seemed to call to her. She also loved gardening and took pleasure in tending growing things with care. As an antique collector, she appreciated the beauty, character, and stories held in treasured pieces from the past.
Among the blessings of her life, her children and her home were her greatest pride. The love she poured into her family and the care she gave to her home reflected what mattered most to her. Those who knew Rochelle will remember a woman of heart, energy, and deep devotion, someone who created comfort and joy simply by being herself.
Ms. Rochelle is preceded in death by her father, George Tatum and her mother and stepfather, Lea and Barney Garrett.
She is survived by her children; sons, David (Jennifer) Padgett, Scott (Keisha) Padgett; daughter, Cheryl Padgett, and her half brother and sister in law, Alex (Vangie) Tatum; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Ms. Carol Rochelle Padgett will be remembered with love and gratitude, and her bright, spirited memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. No services will be held at this time.
