Mr. Carroll Jonas Zepp, age 68, of Temple passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Douglas Wellstar Hospital in Douglasville. He was born June 5, 1944 in Westminster, MD, the son of the late Mr. Carroll Preston Zepp and the late Mrs. Lois May Linton Zepp. He graduated from Westminster High School where he played football. He served in the United States Army for twenty-two years, serving in Vietnam and three tours in Germany. He entered as an opticianâs assistant, worked as subsistance with food and played football in the Army for eighteen years and was scouted by the Baltimore Colts. Mr. Zepp restored and collected Farmall tractors, loved growing vegetable gardens, raising hogs, goats, and chickenIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara M. Zepp in 2005.He is survived by his wife, Marsha Lynn Coburn Zepp of Temple; son and daughter, Preston Jay and Kelly Ann Zepp of Palm Coast, FL; stepson, Kenneth Rollins of Temple; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Jodie and Bob Shields of Temple, Paula and Paul Bellen of Temple; brother, Norman Zepp of Sykesville, MD; grandchildren, Tristan Barnes, Jacob Zepp, Nicholas Zepp, Delia Zepp, and Heather Harellson; step grandchildren, Brandi Thurber, Eric Thurber, Jessica Nicole Thurber, Veronica Mathews, Gaylon and Jason Bellew, John Luke Bellew, Shirley Brewer, Justin Clay Rollins; great-grandchildren, Josh Little, Desean Thurber and Christopher Mathews. Special extended family, Paul and Carol Turner, Joanna Callison and Vannetta Bunce and family also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, July 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Jones officiating.
