Catherine Elizabeth Giles Ogle

Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Giles Ogle, age 96, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010. She was born November 24, 1913 in Palmetto, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Burnett Giles and the late Mrs. Carey Wingo Giles. She worked as a cashier at Thornton Chevrolet. She was proud to be a champion blood donor for many years. Mrs. Ogle was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace James Ogle and son, Lyndell Wallace Ogle on July 16, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Ogle of Marietta; son, Dean Ogle of Douglasville; daughter-in-law, Joyce Estes Ogle of Douglasville; four grandchildren, Lori Robbins, Wesley Ogle, Gregory Ogle, and David Ogle; twelve great-grandchildren, Aubrey Ogle, Stacie Ogle, Christen Ogle, Dylan Ogle, Andrea Ogle, Candace Ogle, Erin Ogle, Ben Ogle, Lyndey Robbins, Travis Robbins, Sandy Robbins and Vaneza Robbins. Mrs. Ogle is also survived by her brother, Billy Joe Giles of Barnesville, and her sister, Myrtle Morris of Hampton, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Douglasville City Cemetery with Celebrant Glenn Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at the Douglasville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM.
