Catherine Roer Newman

Mrs. Catherine Mae Roer Newman, age 61, of Lithia Springs, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was born July 26, 1955 in Austell the daughter of the late Mr. George Roer and Ms. Vera Puckett Roer. Mrs. Newman worked for Digicon for many years. She enjoyed gardening, computers, technology and spending time with her grandson. She is survived by her husband, Michael Douglas Newman of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Bradley Cannon of Douglasville; mother, Vera Puckett Roer of Alabama; sisters and brother-in-law, Georgia Hurst of Tennessee, Veronica and David Johnson of Alabama; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Deanne Roer of Alabama, Johnny and Lisa Roer of Buchanan; sister-in-law, Sandra and Thomas Stansel of Lithia Springs; one grandson, Barrett Cannon; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
