Mrs. Cathy Lynne Yarbrough Long, 51, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She was born January 3, 1965 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Mrs. Peggie Harper Yarbrough and the late Mr. George William Yarbrough. She married Robert “Bobby” Lee Long on February 21, 1986 in Austell. She loved her family with her whole heart and she was an amazing cook. Cathy was a loving, faithful and devoted mother to her children. She was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a follower of Jesus Christ which extended beyond the walls of the church and crossed the ocean to Cambodia. Cathy’s heart for missions and desire to serve the Lord, led her to a degree as a Registered Nurse so that she could share God’s love and Word with all nations. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bobby Lee Long of Douglasville; two daughters, Lauren Long of Carrollton and Lexi Long of Douglasville; one son, Brandon Long of Douglasville; her mother, Peggie Harper Yarbrough of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Shannon and Steven Wood of Douglasville; one granddaughter, Ashlynne Long; nieces, Branson and Brannan Wood; aunt, Angie Brock; and her three boys, Chris Kaiser, Bruce Kaiser, and Jason Kaiser; many extended beloved family members and friends. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, September 16, 2016 from 7:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Ricky Harper officiating. In accordance to the family’s wishes, her body will be cremated following the funeral service. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
