Cecil Armstrong

Mr. Cecil Taft Armstrong, age 77, of Temple, passed away, Wednesday, June 8, 2016. He was born January 25, 1939 in Temple, the son of the late Mr. Walter Hugh Armstrong and the late Mrs. Sudie Alice Carroll Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong enjoyed fishing. He attended Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchild, Samantha Lynn Armstrong; brothers, W. T. , Paul, James, Robert, Odell, and Mack; sisters, Margaret and Joyce. He is survived by his wife, Mary Conn Armstrong of Temple; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Alan Hyde of Hiram; son, Cecil Taft Armstrong of Temple; sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte Nixon of Temple, Ann and Randy Muller of Bremen; brother and sister-in-law, Hurchell and Betty Armstrong of Lowell; sisters-in-law, Sandra Armstrong of Temple, Doris Armstrong of Bremen; three grandchildren, Brittany and Matt McCaskey, Amanda and Dusty Graham, Taffie Blake; two great-grandchildren, Zachary McCaskey and Savannah Graham; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 Am from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Hurchell Armstrong and Pastor Kevin Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
