Taft Armstrong, Jr.

Cecil Taft Armstrong, Jr., 64, of Temple, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1959, the son of Mary Conn Armstrong and the late Cecil Taft Armstrong Sr.

Beyond his professional life as a stone mason, Taft found joy in wood carving and fishing.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Lynn Armstrong.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Conn Armstrong; daughter, Grace (Cameron) Craven; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Alan Hyde of Hiram; grandson, Hudson Craven; nieces and nephews, Brittany (Matt) McCaskey, Zachary McCaskey, Amanda Graham, Savannah Graham; aunts and uncles, Charlotte Nixon, Ann Mueller, Hurchell Armstrong; many cousins and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel. A private interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park.
