He was born on June 26, 1940, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late Mr. Earl Glendon Dodds and the late Mrs. May Miller Dodds.
Skip lived a life marked by dedication and love for both his family and the world around him. He was a man of many facets. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army, he pursued higher education and earned a master's degree, laying a strong foundation for his professional life. Skip cultivated many close friendships, particularly among his cherished friends in Louisiana, where these bonds held a special place in his heart.
As a passionate traveler, Skip also embraced the world with open arms and wherever he went, he carried his enthusiasm for exploring new places and cultures. His love extended to animals of all kinds, with a particular fondness for his cherished basset hounds. They were not just pets but treasured companions who brought him great happiness.
In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Abele Dodds.
