Charles Edd Shaw

Mr. Charles Edd Shaw, age 62, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born September 30, 1947 in Cleveland, Tennessee the son of the late Mr. Charles Alfred Shaw and the late Mrs. Ruby Lee Lynn Shaw. In 1994, he retired from American General Life Insurance Company where he worked in insurance sales for many years. He was co-owner with his son of Shaw Roofing in Carrollton. Mr. Shaw was a member of the Moose Lodge and the AmVets Post #43 and #99. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Crumley Shaw of Carrollton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jared and Brenda Mechelle Shaw of Villa Rica and Health and Sue Shaw of Gainesville; three sisters, Ann McCoy, Cherry Stanley, and Candy Hill all of Rome; one brother, Rocky Shaw of Rome; 5 grandchildren, Josh, Lexi, Keelyn, Logan, and Jessica; two great-grandsons, Lane and Braxton; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Mike Davenport officiating. Mr. Charles Carroll and Mr. Bill Mathis will provide eulogies. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
