Charles Edward Fincher, Jr.

Mr. Charles Edward Fincher, Jr. 50, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008. He was born January 7, 1958 in Fulton County, Georgia, the son of Mr. Charles Edward Fincher, Sr. and Mrs. Maria Navarro Fincher. Mr. Fincher worked for AT&T for 14 years as an engineer and was a veteran of the First Gulf War having served in the United States Coast Guard. He volunteered at the Georgia Aquarium, was a surfing enthusiast, enjoyed the guitar and he had an invaluable love for life. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gretchen Woodhouse Fincher of Douglasville; his sons, Charles Edward Fincher, III and Nicholas John Fincher, both of Douglasville; his parents, Maria Navarro Fincher and Charles Edward Fincher, Sr. of Lakeside, California; and his sister, Tina Estes of Lakeside, California also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Celebrant Glenn P. Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel in Douglasville on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
