Mr. Charles Edward Newberry, 76, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1931 in Ponce de Leon, Florida; the son of Newell Joseph Newberry and Willie Fuller Newberry Rodgers. Mr. Newberry retired as a supervisor from Lockheed, having worked there for thirty-eight years. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. Survivors include his wife of fifty three years, Edna Gibson Newberry of Temple; daughters and son in-laws, Susan M. and Phil Taylor of Temple; and Deborah and James McMichen of Powder Springs; sisters, Annette Huddleston of Montgomery, Alabama; and Charlotte Rodgers Ory of Marrero, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jeremy McMichen, Jaime McMichen, Erin Taylor, and Lindsey Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 8, 2007 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica with Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Mr. Newberry’s final resting place will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia at a later time. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, October 7, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Tanner Hospice Care, P.O. Box 1136, Carrollton, Georgia 30117 or the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494.
