Mr. Charles Olin Freeman, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at WellStar Cobb Hospital following an extended illness. He was born July 14, 1922 in Talboton, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Emory B. Freeman, Sr. and the late Mrs. Sarah Fairbanks Ingram Freeman. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served as a Corporal from 1941â1945 during World War II. He was a farmer and enjoyed singing and playing the banjo and harmonica. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Myrtis Parris Freeman; and brother, Emory B. Freeman, Jr. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Gale Freeman Moody and her husband, Philip Moody of Griffin and Elizabeth Freeman and her husband, James Brown of Douglasville; one sister, Linda Freeman Moon of Douglasville; 3 grandchildren, Leah Goen, Desiree Cook and Nicole Finley; 1 great-grandchild, Payton Goen.
