Charles Ledford

Mr. Charles D. Ledford, age 70, of Villa Rica, passed away, Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was born June 18, 1947 in Mableton the son of the late Mr. Charles Buell Ledford and the late Mrs. Esther Eulene Long Ledford. He was a Purple Heart Recipient of the U.S. Army, writer, musician, poet, fisherman and loved kayaking. He was a contractor, Farrier, and Cowboy.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Alexander Ledford; sister, JoAnn Ledford Sitton; brothers-in-law, Ford Berry and Lamar SittonHe is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Meredith Acree of Temple, Linda and Randy James of Villa Rica; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Luther Cochran of Douglasville, Betty Berry of Austell; brother and sister-in-law, Robert E. and Geraldine Ledford of Royston; four grandchildren, Lindsey James, Jesse Acree, Levi Acree and Skyler Acree ; Meredith’s mother, Marcia Burns Van Orden; several nieces and nephews also survive. Celebration of Life will be conducted at The Inn at Oak Lawn Farms, 1141 Rome Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 12:00 PM, 770-214-1007.
