Mr. Charles "Richard" Hunter, age 72 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020. He was born September 27, 1947 in Douglasville, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Murphy Hunter and the late Elizabeth Orr Hunter. Mr. Hunter loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a Shriner and Mason. He loved to travel and stay busy until his health would not allow. He has a big heart for helping others before himself. Mr. Hunter was a member of Second Baptist Church in Douglasville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death his brother, Robert Hunter. Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife 18 years, Mrs. Theresa Hunter of Douglasville, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-laws, Robby and Leigh Ann Hunter of Douglasville, Georgia, Stephen Hunter of Douglasville, Georgia, Robert and Dawn Taylor of Douglasville, Georgia, Joe Majors of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-laws, Tammy and John Crowder of Warm Springs, Georgia, Tracy and Marc Smith of Lithia Springs; sixteen grandchildren, Blake Hunter, Brett Hunter, Cason Hunter, Caleb Hunter, Leah Ayers, Brooke Ayers, Chloe Hunter, Jaxon Hunter, Josh Taylor, Cody Majors, Alisha Williams, Morgan and Jake Phillips, Travis and Ashlee Smith, Melinda and Robby Williams, Garrett Myers, Spencer Myers; four great grandchildren; aunts, Betty Millians, Mary Alice Hunter; several cousins; Sandra Hunter, mother of Robby and Stephen Hunter; best friend, A.B. Zimmermen; two beloved pets, Peanut and Bandit. According to Mr. Hunter's wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
