Charles Andrew Tucker, Jr., affectionately known as Charlie, age 58, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born on April 7, 1968, in Frederick, Maryland, Charlie lived a life marked by a boundless personality, an insatiable curiosity, a mischievous sense of humor, and a love for those fortunate enough to know him.
Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Karen Lee Hotchkiss Tucker and Charles Andrew “Andy” Tucker, Sr.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Meredeth Tucker; his stepson, Donovan Markle; his aunt and uncle, Sharon and Rusty Wilson; and many cousins. He also leaves behind countless friends, some of whom had been by his side for decades and were every bit as close as family.
Charlie was a man with an endless thirst for knowledge. He could spend hours watching documentaries about historical and political events, always eager to learn something new. He loved exploring back roads and dirt roads with his wife, searching for beautiful scenery for her to capture through her photography. Together, they lived by a simple rule: they were never lost unless the gas tank was empty.
He had a deep love for baseball and treasured every opportunity to watch his beloved Baltimore Orioles. In the kitchen, he and Meredeth shared a passion for cooking, often putting their own spin on recipes and “Tuckerizing” them until they suited their tastes perfectly. These simple pleasures became treasured pieces of the life they built together.
But to know Charlie was to know that his personality could never be contained in a list of hobbies or interests. He was a force of nature—a man who did everything with all that he had. He loved to laugh, tell jokes, pull pranks, and make himself the clown in any room he entered. His bright blue eyes would twinkle with mischief whenever he was plotting his next escapade, and his laughter had a way of drawing others in. He had a gift for making ordinary moments memorable and bringing lightness to even the hardest days.
Beneath that larger-than-life personality was a man with an enormous heart. Charlie loved deeply and cared fiercely. His hugs had a way of easing the soul, offering comfort when words were not enough. His friendships stood the test of time because the love he gave was genuine, steadfast, and lasting.
His love for animals was equally extraordinary. Even when illness required him to remain continuously in a hospital bed, Charlie found ways to show compassion. He would hand-feed stray kittens, falling madly in love with each and every one of them. His tenderness toward the smallest and most vulnerable creatures revealed the beautiful heart behind his humor and larger-than-life spirit.
Charlie’s passing leaves an enormous, moon-shaped hole in the hearts of all who loved him. No one will feel that emptiness more deeply than his wife, Meredeth, who adored him from the moment they met twenty years ago. Their life together was filled with laughter, adventures down winding roads, shared meals, inside jokes, and a love that became an inseparable part of who they were.
Though his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, Charlie’s spirit will live on in the stories retold, the laughter he inspired, the recipes forever “Tuckerized,” the beauty discovered along forgotten roads, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and humor.
He was deeply loved, fiercely himself, and utterly unforgettable. The world is a little less colorful without him, but those who knew Charlie will carry a piece of his light in their hearts forever.
Per Charlie’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal service is planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in honor of Charlie’s lifelong love of animals.
Rest easy, Charlie. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be missed beyond words.
