Mr. Charles D. “Charlie” Bloodworth, Sr., age 74, of Panama City Beach, Florida passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born June 19, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama the son of Mr. Charles Rupert Bloodworth and the late Mrs. June McCain Bloodworth. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Lucent Technologies/AT&T. He was an avid Alabama fan, NASCAR fan and Harley Davison rider. He loved the beach. He enjoyed reading the paper and FOX News. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Bloodworth. He is survived by wife, Diane Thompson Bloodworth of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Julie Bloodworth McCoy and her husband, Max of Watkinsville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles “Chuck” D. Bloodworth, Jr. and his wife, Karen Weaver Bloodworth of Dallas, Kevin Breece Bloodworth and his wife, Nancy Souliere Bloodworth of Ottawa Canada and Brandon Scott Bloodworth of Atlanta; his father, Charles Rupert Bloodworth of Montgomery, AL; seven grandchildren, Ashlan Bloodworth and Avery Bloodworth both of Dallas, Chuck McCoy of Watkinsville, Reece Bloodworth, Maddox Bloodworth, Paxton Bloodworth, Brinley Blue Bloodworth; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating.
