Mr. Charlie Franklin Martin, age 77, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 13, 2024. He was born on October 20, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Mr. Robert "Bob" Martin and the late Mrs. Nell Twilley Martin.
Charlie led a fulfilling life as a mechanic for several years. However, many remember him for his passion for boxing in his younger years. Those close to him also knew him as a man of quiet demeanor with a dry sense of humor that loved his family. Charlie had an independent spirit, a love for fishing and occasionally went on hunting trips. His family meant the world to him, and he often expressed how much he missed his late wife, Patsy Elizabeth Martin. Charlie's legacy lives on through the memories he shared with those who knew him best. His practical jokes and love for good food made him a cherished figure among friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Elizabeth Martin; brothers, Danny Martin, Richard Martin, and Mike Martin.
Charlie is survived by his sons, Raymond “Ray” James Martin of Douglasville, Georgia; Bobby Thomas Martin and his wife, Tonya of Temple, Georgia, Brian Paul Martin of Douglasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Alexandria Elizabeth Pennington, Abigail Nehemiah Martin, Amillia Lynn Martin, Brooklyn Nicole Martin; great-grandchildren, Brodie Martin Pennington, Ember Rae Morine, and Carter Scott Morine.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Charlie Martin was cremated.
