Mr. Charlie Walter Queen, Sr., age 60, of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was born February 10, 1952 in Atlanta, the son of the late Mr. Charlie Queen and the late Mrs. Leah Mae Everett Queen. He worked for R. F. Knox for many years. Mr. Queen loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Queen. He is survived by his wife, Martha Thomas Queen of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Janelle Queen of Clearwater, FL, Charlie and Judy Queen of Douglasville; sisters Maxcille Hite of Smyrna, Mary Seabolt of Commerce; brothers, Hoit Queen of Woodstock, Weldon Queen of Woodstock, Larry Queen of Dallas, and Steve Queen of Rockmart; five grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Minister Ross Anderson officiating.
