Charlotte Ann Dowis

Charlotte Ann Dowis, age 62, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020. She was born in Texas, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Dowis and the late Mary Jeanette Green and was also raised by her step-father, Lattie "Mac" Smallwood. She worked for Waffle House for 30 plus years and most recently as a chicken fryer for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Ms. Dowis enjoyed working puzzle games. She loved her grandchildren and they were her world. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melisa Webb and Travis Webb of Douglasville; her sister, Lynn Martin of Florida; brothers, Robert Dowis of Dahlonega, Raymond Dowis of Cumming, Victor Dowis of Dahlonega, David Dowis of Suwanee and Stacy Smallwood of Dahlonega; and two grandchildren, William Webb and Zoe Webb. We are still providing services to our families based on CDC Covid-19 guidelines. According to Ms. Dowis wishes, she will be cremated.
