Charlotte Elaine Scott Wooten

Mrs. Charlotte Elaine Scott Wooten, age 76 of Buchanan, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021. She was born in Alabama on December 19, 1944, the daughter of the late Mr. J. D. Scott and the late Mrs. Rosie Jane Morris Scott. She worked in childcare. Mrs. Wooten loved puzzles, coloring and watching law shows. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and drinking coffee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wooten is preceded in death by son, Gregory Lamar Wooten and her brother, Dwayne Kennith Scott. She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, David Lamar Wooten; her son and his girlfriend, Stanley "Keith" Wooten and Davina Brumbelow of Buchanan; her sisters, Bertha Jean Omedeo of Tennessee and Shirley Rose Mitchell of Douglasville; her brothers, Walter Ray Scott and Jimmie Dale Scott of Tennessee; 3 granchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Villa Rica, Friday, July 30, 2021 from 12:00PM until 3:00PM. Graveside service will be conducted at Oak Hill Cemetery Friday, July 30, 2021 at 3:30PM with Rev. Rick Royse officiating. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
