Mrs. Charlotte Ruth Dickinson Loner, age 68, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at her home following an extended battle with cancer. She was born July 26, 1944 in Union City, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. James Asbury Dickinson and the late Mrs. Lena Ruth Webb Dickinson. She married James Herbert Loner on May 11, 1961 in Union City, Georgia. She retired as a switch board operator from Target. She was a member of Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church. Her favorite color was pink and she loved flowers, reading her bible and listening to Christian music. She was devoted to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter Scott Dickinson, Cora Giles Dickinson, Fred Guy Webb, and Prudence Daniel Webb. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Herbert Loner of Douglasville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tracie Loner Collum of Florida, Cathy Loner Floyd and her husband, Mike of South Carolina, and Vickie Loner Hessey and her husband Steve of Florida; three sisters, Patsy Raper of Hogansville, Jennie Cardin of Fayetteville and Mary Brannon of Douglasville; brother, Sammy Dickinson of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen, Crystal, Carli, Steven and Mattie; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Hailee, and Jowell; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Shirley officiating. Flowers accepted or memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church, 4391 Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville, GA 30135.
