Charlotte Deese Vines, 86, of Villa Rica, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1939, the daughter of the late Emmet Leroy Deese and Emma Sarah Nails Deese.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and wife of 54 years to her beloved husband John Vines. She spent the first 22 years of her marriage traveling along with her husband and children with the United States Navy. After his retirement they moved back to Villa Rica, Ga where they settled down and she worked as a seamstress for the next 30 years. After her retirement she dedicated her days to her husband, family, and church. She was a beloved member of the Villa Rica Church of Christ. She strived to live a Christian life to be the shining example to those around her. She loved to cook and spend time with her loved ones
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Benjamin Vines; daughter, Beverly Lynn Nicholson; brothers, James Emmett Deese, Lowell Elbert Deese, and Hubert Deese; sisters, Gladys Deese and Mary Louise Deese.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca Giannoni of Villa Rica, Cheryl Vines of Carrollton, Dianne Vines of Temple, Grady Vines (Debbie) of Mooreville, Mississippi; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Helen Waddell (Johnny) of Waco, Aline Brannon of Bremen, and Jewell Gentry (J.T.) of Villa Rica; nine grandchildren, Jennie (Tom) Piotrowski of Bremen, Brandon Raybon of Yorkville, John (Courtney) Vines Saltillo of MS, Brandy Raybon of Temple, Nichole McCarty of Carrollton, Bob (Kim) Vines of New Albany, MS, Amy (Mike) Little of Temple and Scotty Vines of Mooreville MS; great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Villa Rica Church of Christ from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Patrick Gray officiating. Interment will be held at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
Her legacy of love will be fondly remembered by those who knew her most.
