Charmaine Marlow Mrs. Theresa Charmaine Dean Marlow, age 57, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Emory University Hospital following a courageous 4-year battle with Leukemia. She was born August 9, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Bolton Dean and the late Mrs. Myrtis Forsyth Dean. She married the love of her life, Sam Marlow on April 21, 1977 in Woodbury, Georgia. Charmaine was a business woman for over 35 years, who owned and operated Charmaine’s Hair Care in Douglasville. She was a devoted member of County Line Baptist Church. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who loved people and she was a faithful servant who loved witnessing to people. She was a selfless person who had a high standard of integrity and moral values. She had a great love of helping those in need. She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Sam Marlow of Douglasville; her daughters and sons-in-law, Stefanie Marlow Nelson and her husband, Mike Nelson and Natalie Marlow Bentley and her husband, Dale Bentley all of Winston, and Deana Truitt and her husband Greg Truitt of Villa Rica; her son, Casey Marlow of Villa Rica; former daughter-in-law, Ashley Forrester Marlow of Douglasville; her sister, Pam Garrett of Acworth; her beloved grandchildren, Alex Truitt, Aubrey Nelson, Brittany Truitt, Ashley Nelson, Kaley Marlow, Zack Truitt, Marlow Kate Bentley, Reece Bentley and Garrett Bentley; her aunt, Eugenia “Tootsie” Powell of Dallas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen and Charlie Walsh of Alpharetta; nieces and nephews, James and Melody Pruitt, Sonya Conn of Douglasville and Shellie Turco of Acworth. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. David McLendon and Rev. Jerry Adair officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to their dearest friends, Anthony and Alicia Griffith for their enduring, lifelong friendship and support through this entire journey. Special thanks, to Dr. Hanna Jean Khoury of the Winship Cancer Institute and his special nurse, Stacy Holloway and to each member of the Emory Staff that went above and beyond the call of duty. Heartfelt thanks to Tom and Linda Worthan, their beloved neighbors, and to all the dear friends who have been there for the family throughout this journey and who have provided support, food, cards, encouragement, and have been prayer warriors for Charmaine and her family.
