Cheryl Anne Chapman, 64, of Inwood, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Berkeley Medical Center after an aggressive cancer battle.
Born June 8, 1959, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Raleigh Chapman and Olivia Anne Orndoff Chapman.
Cheryl is survived by her sons, Nathan Rogers and wife Ashley, and Chris Ruckman; daughter Vanessa Stone and husband Drew; brother Scott Chapman and wife Beth and their children, Nick, Andrew, and Amber; grandchildren, Logan, Megan, Aubreigh, Amelia, Emalie, Griffin, and Maverick; and great grandson, Ezekiel.
She was a pillar of the community and for the Musselman High School where she worked as a secretary and games manager for over 20 years.
She is a former member of Fellowship Church of the Brethren and current member of Connections Community Church. She served the Lord and devoted herself to serving Him through all her trials.
She loved her community and always rooted on the Big Green. She enjoyed ringing her cowbell on Friday nights at the football games. She was selfless and was always smiling. Her unique laugh was contagious and could light up a room.
Family will receive friends Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 6PM to 8PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11AM at Connections Community Church in Inwood with Pastor Michael Staubs and Pastor Tim Butler officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at United Bank in Inwood for a future scholarship fund.
