Cheryl Kay White, born on February 27, 1949, in San Diego, California, passed away on April 23, 2024, in Villa Rica, Georgia, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Cheryl was a beloved member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cheryl spent her formative years in Princeton, West Virginia, before relocating to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, following her marriage to the late Harold Bruce White. She retired from the accounting department at YKK. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Jake and Mabel Hatcher and is survived by her loving son David White and his wife Cheryl, sister Karen Harvey and fiancé Johnny Greenway, brother Mickey Hatcher and wife Marie, granddaughter Amber Fairbank and husband Bo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cheryl is proceeded in death by her brother, Don Davis and wife Nancy.
Known for her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, Cheryl was a dedicated prayer warrior, a devoted wife, and mother, and a loyal friend to many. She found solace in reading her Bible and had a talent for writing. Cheryl also had a special place in her heart for her beloved cats.
Before her illness, Cheryl made regular visits with her late husband, Bruce and son, David to see her family in West Virginia and maintained a cherished tradition of calling her parents every Saturday, a gesture they always looked forward to.
Cheryl Kay White will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and love for her family and friends. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her legacy of faith, love, a beautiful smile and sweet laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Rest in peace, Cheryl. Our loss is heavens gain.
