Christine Skinner Horn

Mrs. Christine Skinner Horn, 70, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008. She was born February 23, 1938 in Fulton County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Melvin T. Skinner and the late Mrs. Nancy McGuire Skinner Brown. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother to her six children. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. She was a member of the Douglasville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Harrison Horn, Sr. on October 31, 2002. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Sammy Abercrombie of Douglasville, Darlene and Kenneth Dunn of Woodstock, Patti and Eddie Rhodes of Skirum, AL; sons and daughters-in-law, Elmer Jr. and Kerry Horn of Douglasville, Robert and Lodi Horn of Douglasville, and Dwight Horn of Dalton; sister, Myrt Pailloz of Cape Coral, FL; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta. The following will serve as pallbearers: Sam Abercrombie, Jamie Metcalf, William Horn, Ty Horn, Andy Sumners, and Jacob Jordan. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM.
