Clara Godwin

Mrs. Clara Olive Cook Godwin, age 78, of Villa Rica, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. She was born January 31, 1940 in Jarrow, England the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Cook and the late Mrs. Dorothy Jean Bray Cook. Mrs. Godwin enjoyed reading, church and her home country and enjoyed talking about it. She is survived by her husband, Paul Hugh Godwin of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Becky McConville of Douglasville, Pete and Lorraine McConville of Jarrow, England, Kevin and Jennifer McConville of Burnley, England; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Tim Anderson of Swindon, England; brothers, Thomas Cook of South Shields, England, Jack Cook of Jarrow, England; six grandchildren; fourteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church with The Rev. Jeff Jackson officiating. Eulogy will be provided by The Rev. Hazel Glover. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
